I got asked so many questions about the resort that I stayed at for my weekend trip to Negril, Jamaica. I stayed at the Azul Sensatori in their premium suites and I must say that this has been the most instagramable hotel I have ever stayed at. The service was amazing the staff was super friendly it literally felt like your home away from home. This was my first time staying in Negril, usually I stay in Ocho Rios or Montego Bay.
This resort is a gourmet inclusive hotel and it is children friendly. All-inclusive means your meals, alcohol and anything you truly desire to eat is free of cost. The hotel had two buffet style restaurants on both ends of the resort along with several restaurants that specialized in certain dishes. If you are looking for real Jamaican cuisine this may not be the resort for you. They did serve several Jamaican dishes but to me they were still lacking the flavor that a true Jamaican loves. The overall, look of the restaurants were cute and each detail was well thought through from the gluten free pastries to the jars that held the condiments.
As for the rooms I stayed in the premium section which means you have butler service along with your own premium pool free of children and a swim up bar. If your room is on the first floor you had your own pool area along with a balcony. Overall, the hotel is perfect for that quiet get-away. Despite Azul being children friendly, I felt like I didn’t really see them or hear them. There were some moments when I was the only person in the pool.
The resort is settled along the seven mile beach so you were able to walk to the other resorts. It is also right next to a jerk restaurant, a juice bar and a water park which was across the street. I loved that you could get to different things by foot because taxi rides can become very costly. They also had water activities that you could do through the hotel. I did the Hobie which is a 30min ride out to the middle of the ocean but they also had snorkeling along with a glass bottom boat.
If you are looking for a party hotel the Sensatori is not for you. They did have night time entertainment but the crowd at the hotel was a bit on the calm side. I definitely would recommend this hotel for others to stay and I will be staying here again in the near future.
